Avenue C in the News
Chris Orazi, local musician and owner of C.A.S. Music Productions released Blink, brand new from Avenue C, on February 14. According to Orazi, Blink was produced to navigate the heart, making a Valentine’s Day release especially fitting.
A follow up to Avenue C’s Dream Taxi, Blink features several local and nationally recognized artists including Patrice Hawthorne of Peaches and Herb, Godfrey Townsend of the Alam Parsons Band and the Happy Together Tour. “While the songs in Dream Taxi explored dream travel, Blink takes you on a journey of the heart and relationships,” said Orazi. “The songs hit on the feelings that accompany loss, rescue, escape, time, payment, cessation and resumption, an more, as we make our way through life.”
Avenue C vocalists, Scott Norton of Darwin Candidate, jazz sogstress Sharon Sable, and solo artist, Scott Seabock, rest on a band of horn sections, guitars, driving rhythm and percussion. The result is a unique mix of rock, pop, jazz and funk.
Musicians locally and regionally also contributed to the album. These include Henry Scalfo of Secret Sauce, renown saxophonists Carl Cox and John Quida; John Clark and Jim Norton of the John Clark Big Band; jazz guitarist Herb Moore; bassists Andy Lalais; and Zoe’s Moe Fonville.
Said Orazi, “The talent in our area is unbelievable. There’s never a problem finding great musicians when you need them. I’m just honored to have the opportunity to know and collaborate with them on projects like Blink.”
The album is on Amazon ITunes and CD Baby.
